Amalienborg Palace and the Copenhagen Opera House:
Visit the castle where the Danish queen Magrethe II and crown prince Frederik live with their families: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amalienborg_Palace. Just across the canal from where Amalienborg is lies the Copenhagen Opera House built by the Danish businessman A.P. Møller: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copenhagen_Opera_House

Nyhavn:
The place is a bit of a tourist trap and a quite expensive place to drink or dine, but it can be a nice place to sit or walk when the sun is shining and you can also get on or off the canal tours from here: http://spisinyhavn.dk/dk/index.php

Tivoli:
Go for a walk in the beautiful old amusement park: http://www.tivoli.dk/

Christiania:
A beautiful green spot in the middle of the city. Best known for the demised Pusherstreet, but also a place for more underground musical and cultural events: http://www.christiania.org/

The Lakes:
Take a walk around the Lakes that stretch all the way from the western part of the city to the eastern side and where many of the Copenhagen citizens go for their morning or evening run: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lakes,_Copenhagen

Frederiksberg Garden and Palace:
Originally the castle was built by King Frederik VI as a summer residence and the park was his personal garden, but later opened for the bourgeoisie on their Sunday walks. Today it is possible to get a conducted tour of the castle and the beautiful, almost garden-like, park is open to everyone who feels like taking a break from the urban stress: http://www.frederiksbergslot-frbslot.dk/
