Dispuk
DISPUK is one of the leading training institutes in narrative therapy in Scandinavia and probably in Europe. DISPUK was established in 1990 by Allan Holmgren. The buildings where DISPUK is now was a former private psychiatric half way house for persons between 18 and 15 years old who had had a career in psychiatric hospitals suffering from severe mental problems, and who carried "heavy diagnosis" in their lives. Michael White visited this private institution when he was in Scandinavia for the first time in 1987. Through all the years DISPUK has had a close cooperation with Michael White both while he was a part of Dulwich Centre and when he broke with Dulwich Centre to establish his own centre in Adelaide together with Maggie Carrey and Shona Russel in 2006-2007.
DISPUK offers short term and long term training programs, workshops and seminars in narrative and poststructuralist therapy and also in narrative leadership and organizational work. DISPUK offers also a lot of supervision and therapy.
There are ten full time employed consultants in DISPUK, four administrative staff members and six staff members in the three kitchens in the three houses. DISPUKs two main buildings are located North of Copenhagen, South of Elsinore in Snekkersten, directly to the sea, along the coastline. The third building is located in Aarhus.
